One thing is sure that Samsung is on right path to get success in mobile phone world. Introducing Galaxy series, Samsung has proven with Galaxy S3 that there is someone who can compete Apple. Couple of years back, only Apple was the brand whose iPhone was sold million times in couple of days after release but now Galaxy Series has filed a competition in that category.

Samsung is a great company which has produced lots of good products specially in mobile phones, Galaxy S series is one of them. First Samsung Galaxy Si phone was released in June 2010 since after first release Samsung is leading world towards Galaxy series. Every year millions of users waiting for new release and upgrades.
Compare to Apple iPhone, there are many things which need improvement specially apps section where Samsung needs some apps like Siri for iPhone. If Samsung want to win the competition then Samsung need to introduce some unique apps like Siri for Samsung Galaxy S4. Siri has great impact on users to attract towards iPhone and other Apple products.
From last two years Samsung Galaxy has attracted millions of users like Apple iPhone did couple of years back. This time Samsung had released one by one three models Galaxy Si was first then S2 came while last phone was the Samsung Galaxy S3 which was launched recently.
When is Samsung Galaxy S4 Coming out
It seems like Samsung is following Apple release pattern. If you see Samsung had released first Galaxy Si was announced on March 2010 while released on June 2010. Same thing happened with S2 which was announced on February 2011 while introduced at April 2011.
Apple also did same like this for it’s iPhone and iPad devices. Millions of users were eager to see Galaxy S3 when it was announced at May 2012 and launched on the same month which was surprised for the world. New Samsung Galaxy S4 Might come out at the same frame of period like between April 2013 to June 2013.
Galaxy S4 Specs, Features and Rumors
There are still many things needed to improve in New Samsung Galaxy S4. Samsung will need to overcome brand like Apple and product like iPhone. iPhone is the phone which sales million times in couple of days after release. So now we are going to see what can be done and what can be improve in next generation Galaxy S4.
1Dimensions and Weight
Samsung has regularly changed and updated the scree size and dimension of Galaxy series. If you will notice couple of last Galaxy models like Si to S3 then you will found the difference in each new model. Si had 122.4 x 64.2 x 9.9 mm while S2 was slightly improved with 125.3 x 66.1 x 8.5 mm and again Samsung change the design for Samsung Galaxy S3 with 136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6 mm. Now we are expecting that Samsung will try to follow iPad 4 and iPhone 5 and will prepare Galaxy S4 accordingly.

While weight also has increased because of dimension changed. Samsung controlled weight for S2 for 116 g from Si’s 119 g but Samsung Galaxy S3 was over weighted with 133 g overall weight. Samsung has to control weight and have to choose perfect dimension for new S4.
2Screen Size
Samsung is trying to increase size of the Galaxy S series therefore we have seen decent improvement over last couple of releases. Galaxy Si has 4.0 inch screen while S2 has 4.3 inch screen but Samsung dramatically increase screen size of S3 up to 4.8 inch which is greater than iPhone 4S Screen size. I thing Samsung want to create a phone which is big and smart too.
Update: Apple Might Launch iPad Mini 7-Inch
Same like above, Pixel density also improved from 233 ppi to 306 ppi. It looks like Samsung have left iPhone behind. This how Samsung Galaxy became more smart.
3Samsung Galaxy Memory
If we talk about memory then we must discus about S3 1GB Ram and 64GB Internal storage. Samsung has significantly improved memory power of Galaxy phones from couple of last models.
S1 was powered by 512 MB ram and just 8GB and 16GB storage capacity while it has in improved later release. We are expecting 2 GB Ram and 128GB hard disk so that more games and new apps can be access simultaneously.
4Bluetooth and Data
Samsung has developed Galaxy phone for faster data access whether you use Bluetooth or HSDPA performance. It looks like Samsung is improving Bluetooth range with HSDPA quality too.
Bluetooth upgraded with 3.0 A2DP to 4.0 EDR with Samsung Galaxy S3. Same HSDPA was increased from 7.2 to 21 MBPS speed over last three generation.
5Camera
Every phone create it’s unique identity with it’s camera. If your phone have good camera quality then it might be possible that users will be attract towards it. Samsung knows this very well. Samsung has regularly improved camera quality by each released. Galaxy Si had 5MP camera and secondary VGA Camera while Samsung Galaxy S3 got improved camera specification compared to Si.
Update: Samsung Galaxy S4 Would Have 12 MP Camera
Samsung Galaxy S3 has 8 MP primary camera while 1.9 MP, 720p@30fps secondary camera which makes it favorite for every one. As per report, A TV video ad which display camera performance, was watched by million of users and Galaxy fans all over the world.
6Android Operating System
When Si was released two years back, Powered by Android OS, v2.1 (Eclair) at that time Android Operating System was new. After two years, Samsung has released Galaxy S3 with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich recently at May 2012.
In these couple of years, Android operating system has grew much better than Symbian and other operating system but Samsung Galaxy S4 will be needed much more improvement to fight iOS specially iOS 6 operating system.
7CPU
CPU is the main power of Galaxy series specially Galaxy S3 which have Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex A9 processor. Many users who used both iPhone 4S and Galaxy S3, They are claiming that Samsung Galaxy S3 is faster than iPhone 4S.
First Galaxy Si had only 1 GHz Cortex A8 so there was huge improvement from the first generation Galaxy series. Samsung should include fastest CPU to handle Siri type unique apps.
8Flash Player
Samsung Galaxy has Adobe flash player for Galaxy Si to S3 while neither iPhone nor iPod Touch or iPad have Adobe flash player yet, this is also a wonderful advantage for users who want to play flash files.
This is how Samsung users are getting much more benefit and upgraded feature comparing other phones in the market.
9Color Flavor
There has been variety of color flavor available for Samsung Galaxy users. Old Galaxy Si was release only in two colors black and white while recently released S3 was released in three colors.
As per rumor, We might see up to six color flavor from upcoming Samsung Galaxy S4 Release. Most of the users will not happy with few color choice. Now its a generation of multiple color selection.

Have you used an s2 or s3? You already get voice control and can easily download vlingo which works seamlessly for me. I can tell my phone to txt my wife, order pizza, navigate home etc. etc. Much better than my wifes iphone 4s does.

We need more 3d performance. Between s1 and s3, 3d performance has not improved much. The major performance gain has only been cpu power. I want my mobile device to replace my ps3, now that would be a game changer. Were the whole gaming industry gets turned upside down. We can finaly enter the relm of bring your own device era. The pc and game consoles of old must go the way of the dinosaurs.
